Here is a small selection of the accounts of people whom Jesus met, now in our time, in person. There are many such experiences and they are written down so that we can see who this God, who became man in Jesus Christ and came to us, is. They tell us that we too can absolutely trust Jesus. He is there, he sees us and stands with us. Of course, there is no guarantee that our lives will always be without problems and difficulties. God is not available to us. He is the Lord, not us. But he has promised that he will always be with us if we follow him. He promised in Psalm 50 verse 15:
“… And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.”
We can rely on that. This Lord has all power, in heaven and even more on earth. He is the Lord of Lords, the Commander of the Divine Host. In Hebrews 2: 8, it says of him:
“Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. ”
Everything must serve him. In John 1, he testifies that everything that one sees and can not see is made by him. He is the Lord who has paid for our guilt and will come again as king and chief judge to gather His own around Him and to hold judgment on all the world. If we are his property, nothing in this world can harm us, even if we have to pay for our faith in Him with our lives. He brings us safely to the destination! He vouched for that.
